Overview
This intensive 3 day course is designed to improve inter-personal communication
skills, both within organisations and in the international business
environment.
Following
the latest research into effective communication sponsored by British
Telecommunications plc, the course is essentially practical in nature.
"Talk Works At Work", the interactive video training film
produced for B.T. and currently used with great success in major British
corporations, will form an integral part of the course.
The approach used in "Talk Works", together with our internationally
recognised expertise in business language teaching, allows us to offer
a unique learning experience.
Content
-Within a business English context, you will learn how to:
express your ideas clearly and succinctly
- understand
and summarise arguments and information more accurately
-become
a better listener
make sure that your conversations are truly dialogues and that they
have every chance of reaching a satisfactory conclusion
improve your general and business English through on-going grammar and
vocabulary feedback sessions

Course Leader
Mark Brignal
is an actor and teacher by training, with wide experience in theatre,
television and film.
He has worked extensively in the business world as a management trainer
for major British companies and has been closely involved in the development
of "Talk Works", in which he plays a leading role.
Who Should Attend
Participants
will be non-native speakers for whom good spoken communication at work
is vital.
The course is intended for groups of 6-12 people who should have reached
a good standard of general English.
They should be prepared to become fully involved in a variety of practical
communicative activities.
We accept individual enrolments and we also work with central training
departments to co-ordinate courses for group companies.
